Netscape Communicator 4

First, download Netscape from Surf-ICI or Netscape's web site. Save the file cb32e4xx.exe to your desktop. Once the download is complete, double-click the executable file and the setup process will begin. You can basically press Next to all the prompts. When you are asked if you would like to see the Readme file, click No.

Next, start Netscape by clicking the new icon on your desktop, or by going to Start menu, then Programs, Netscape Communicator, and then Netscape Navigator.

After Netscape has started, click Edit, then Preferences.

"Navigator" Category (default)

For Home Page Location, enter http://www.surf-ici.com/

"Mail & Newsgroups" Category

FIRST: You will need to click the + next to Mail & Newsgroups to be able to see these settings.

Click Identity. For Your Name, put your full first and last name (eg. John Doe). For E-Mail Address, put your e-mail address (eg. JDoe@surf-ici.com).

For Mail Servers (In Communicator version 4.5 and up, you must click Add if none exist), the Incoming (POP3) server should be pop.surf-ici.com. For Outgoing (SMTP) server, put the same thing- pop.surf-ici.com. DO NOT enter an outgoing mail server user name.

For Newsgroup Servers, use news.surf-ici.com.

Click OK.

Congratulations! That's it, and you should be ready to use Netscape Communicator. To use your e-mail, click the Inbox icon in the floating toolbar or the docked toolbar on the lower right corner of your screen. Or, you can press CTRL+2, or go to Communicator then Messenger.
